The Davidson Academy of Nevada, a free public school for profoundly gifted students located on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno, is pleased to announce
its graduating class of 2011.
Five students will receive high school diplomas from The Davidson Academy this year. The 2011 graduates and the colleges they will attend are:

Darlon, Erik and Tristan are National Merit Scholar finalists (http://www.nationalmerit.org/). Two of the graduates, Erik and Hannah, started at The Davidson Academy
during the school's first year in 2006.
We are very pleased that these students
will be continuing their educational journeys at colleges and
universities of their choice, said Colleen Harsin, director of The Davidson Academy. We
are proud of them and excited for them to see what the future
holds.
Last year, six Davidson Academy graduates attended such colleges as
Stanford, the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Scripps
College and the University of Nevada, Reno. A total of 20 students have now graduated from the Academy.
In 1999, Bob and Jan Davidson founded the Davidson Institute for Talent Development, a national nonprofit located in Reno that supports our nations brightest young people. In 2004, the Davidsons co-authored, with Laura Vanderkam,
Genius Denied: How to Stop Wasting Our Brightest Young Minds, published by Simon & Schuster. In 2006, they founded The Davidson Academy of Nevada, located in the Jot Travis Building on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
