The Davidson Institute for Talent Development and the University of Nevada,
Reno are pleased to offer the THINK
Summer Institute. This three-week residential summer program offers bright
students an opportunity to access an extremely rigorous educational
experience. Participants who complete the program will receive up to seven
transferable college credits.
What
courses are available at the THINK Summer Institute?
The courses for the THINK Summer
Institute are different every summer. Courses for 2007 include Chemistry,
Physics, History, Philosophy, Computer Science, Calculus, Journalism and

When
is the Program?
This program
runs July 12 - August 2, 2008.

application. Please review any and all current deadline requirements. There
is a $50 application fee.
Where
will the courses be taught? Where
will the students reside?
All courses are taught by university
professors on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Participants stay in
the university’s newest residence hall, which is staffed by THINK program
staff members 24 hours a day. Students share a room with one other program
participant and each room has a private bathroom.
What is the cost?
The tuition of $2,700 covers course
credits, room and board and the cost of the planned
program activities. Additionally,
participants are responsible for textbooks, transportation to and from the program, and
pocket money. Scholarships based on
financial need are available.
How
do I qualify for the THINK Summer Institute?
To
be eligible for the THINK Summer Institute, 2008 applicants must be 13
to 16
years old and a United States citizen or permanent U.S. resident living
in the United States.
Applicants must also submit a qualifying
score (see eligibility criteria at
www.THINKSummerInstitute.org) on the ACT or SAT.
Interested applicants are
