Nation’s Brightest Young Minds Attend Three-Week
THINK Summer Institute at University of Nevada, Reno

(RENO, Nev.)The University of Nevada, Reno campus houses 60 of our nation’s brightest young minds at the seventh annual THINK Summer Institute, a three-week residential summer program sponsored by the Davidson Institute for Talent Development.

The 2010 THINK Summer Institute (www.DavidsonGifted.org/THINK), in session from July 10 to July 31, provides gifted and talented students an intensive, full-immersion college experience and an opportunity to earn transferable college credits by taking two of the following courses taught by University of Nevada, Reno faculty members: Human Development - Mind, Brain, and Learning; Public Health Biology; Computer Science; Statistics; Philosophy; and, Nano and Micro Technology.

“We are excited to have more students attending THINK this year than ever before,” said Jan Davidson. “This increase means more profoundly gifted students will not only be academically challenged this summer, but they will also be taking advantage of making long-lasting connections with same-age, intellectual peers.”

Former educational software entrepreneurs turned philanthropists, Bob and Jan Davidson founded the Davidson Institute for Talent Development (www.DavidsonGifted.org) in 1999 to support profoundly gifted students under the age of 18. In 2006, the Davidsons established The Davidson Academy of Nevada on the University campus as the first public school of its kind for profoundly gifted students (www.DavidsonAcademy.UNR.edu).
